Mapping and GPS technology has leapt forward at an incredible rate. Ten years ago who would have thought that you could insert a small card into a hand held computer and have, pretty much, every detailed map of Australia.

We now use a HEMA NAVIGATOR 6 unit which sits in a craddle mounted on the dash. It’s simple to use and when we’re travelling outback I know exactly where we are by just having a quick glance at the screen. This is so much easier than trying to follow where you are on a map/book without stopping.

Whenever we need advice on how to use or what accessories can we get for our GPS units we contact Brian from GPS OZ. If you need anything to do with GPS units I guarantee that they’ll be able to help. They even run courses on how to use all the gear!
