<p>This is not an accredited course but you&#8217;ll still learn all their is to know without the complication &amp; hassle of having to do both a written and oral assessment.</p>
<p>The course driving content is literally the same as the accredited courses but you don&#8217;t have to sit through a theory session on how to prepare for an outdoor activity. This means that there is more time for &#8216;hands on driving&#8217;. There are plenty of you out there that want to learn how to enjoy your 4WD without the formality.</p>
<p>During the day you&#8217;ll learn :-</p>
<ul>
<li>Correct gear/ratio selection</li>
<li>Tyres &amp; tyre pressures for both on &amp; Off road driving</li>
<li>Steep hill ascent &amp; descent</li>
<li>Stall recovery/key start procedures</li>
<li>Rock, water &amp; sand obstacles</li>
<li>Minimal environmental impact</li>
<li>Wheel travel/articulation</li>
<li>Basic vehicle recovery</li>
</ul>
<p>At the end of the course your practical knowledge and skill level will have vastly improved, giving you more confidence in the future when you decide to venture off road. Also, we&#8217;ll give you a certificate of completion to to hang in pride and place where everyone can see it!!</p>
<p>Course duration – 1 day</p>
<p>Cost $300.00 per driver – $100.00 per non driving adult passenger</p>
<p><em>Minimum of two (2) drivers</em></p>

<p>The course is designed for the recreational 4WDriver who would like to learn how to take their vehicle off sealed roads and off to adventure. The three main aims of this course is safety with regards to how to safely negotiate off road obstacles, vehicle behaviour &amp; how to plan for a safe and enjoyable outdoor 4WD activity.</p>
<p>Our training sessions are limited to a maximum of 8 drivers. With 5 or more drivers we provide 2 instructors. This ensures that there is ample opportunity for each driver to get the maximum amount of &#8216;hands on&#8217; experience.</p>
<p><strong>SROODR002A is a theory session and topics covered include:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Trip planning, logistics etc</li>
<li>Selecting appropriate clothing &amp; camping equipment</li>
<li>Food &amp; water requirements</li>
<li>And more</li>

<p>This 1 day course has been designed so that participants can further enhance their off-road driving skills learning more advanced off road driving techniques. The LEVEL 2 course allows you to take your vehicle and your driving skills to the next level.</p>
<p>You&#8217;ve already learnt how to drive up &amp; down hills! Let’s see how good you are at reversing up &amp; down steep hills!! The steepness &amp; the ruggedness of the hills will depend of your vehicle&#8217;s capabilities. We tackle rocky trails that rely on wheel placement to get you through.</p>
<p>This course allows participants to gain experience in driving through difficult terrain and covers&#8230;&#8230;</p>
<ul>
<li>4WD system review</li>
<li>Pre departure checks</li>
<li>Tyre pressures for on &amp; off road driving</li>
<li>Review stall recovery techniques</li>
<li>Difficult steep ascents &amp; descents</li>
<li>Narrow rocky trails</li>
<li>Mud driving</li>
<li>Deep water crossings</li>
<li>Sand driving</li>
<li>changing a tyre on uneven ground</li>
<li>There is also some extra driving techniques such as reversing up &amp; down steep inclines &#8230;&#8230;.and more!</li>
</ul>
<p>This course is for those interested in attempting more serious and demanding off road driving. A vehicle fitted with cross axle diff locks or other traction aids is more suited to this course. After successful completion of this course participants receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment.</p>

<p>The Level 3 course has been designed to allow participants to get a &#8216;hands on&#8217; experience in the correct and safe techniques used to recover a stranded/bogged vehicle. Recovery of a stranded/bogged vehicle can be the most dangerous time while 4WDriving. There are numerous ways to safely recover a vehicle using all types of recovery equipment. From a simple shackle through to a vehicle mounted electric winch. Incorrect or misuse of recovery equipment can lead to environmental or vehicle damage or even personal injury.</p>
<p>This course concentrates on the correct and safe techniques required for a successful recovery of a stranded/bogged vehicle. Participants are &#8216;hands on&#8217; in all the recovery procedures.</p>
<p>Topics covered on this course include</p>

<li>Identification &amp; maintenance of ALL recovery equipment</li>
<li>How to operate in a safe &amp; environmentally friendly manner</li>

<p>This training package covers the practical skills and knowledge required for selecting appropriate range, gear and techniques to drive a 4wd vehicle through and over different terrain and apply basic vehicle recovery techniques. It relates only to specialist skills and knowledge for 4WD vehicles. The theory session covers how to prepare for an outdoor activity.</p>
<p>This particular training package is an introduction to the safe techniques used when driving a 4WD vehicle. The LEVEL 1 course has been structured to suit client/employees that have a job description requiring the ability to competently drive 4WD vehicles. The course enables the participants to gain hands-on experience in driving 4WD vehicles off sealed surfaces. Every type of obstacle/situation, that may be encountered when travelling/working, have been re-created on our private training facility.</p>
